7 Days on The Cabbage soup diet plan

Diet Plans Fad Diets
One can endure just about anything for a week to quickly lose ten pounds, and the rapid results of this diet are what hold its allure. The Seven Day Cabbage Soup diet plan allows for only two fat free bowls of cabbage soup per day with alternating additional menu options for each day of the week. It is also recommended that dieters refrain from alcohol consumption and they drink plenty of water or low calorie fluids including unsweetened tea. Dieters should only stay on this diet for one week and they should wait a period of time before going back on this diet. The recommended short duration of this diet is a clue that it is NOT a healthy diet choice.

The cabbage soup recipe is pretty basic, although it is difficult to imagine how one could spice up a fat free cabbage soup to make it tolerable for seven days straight. The fat free or lowfat versions of the cabbage soup typically include cabbage, celery, onions and tomatoes, and the soup is flavored with onion soup mix, bouillon cubes, and tomato juice. The cabbage soup diet is bland, high in salt, and causes gas and it is not particularly nutritious. The premise of this diet is to follow a very specific guideline of what one can eat for seven days:

Daily consumption Guide

Day one consists of cabbage soup and fruit only, excluding bananas
Day two more soup and some veggies and a potato with butter for dinner
Day three more cabbage soup and veggies and fruit
day four brings more soup and up to 6 bananas and fat free milk
Day five and more soup awaits and up to 6 tomatoes and 450 grams of meat of fish
Day six cabbage soup and meat and vegetables
Day seven of this diet allows yet more cabbage soup and brown rice and juice and veggies.

The Cabbage Soup diet is a seven day diet plan for rapid weight loss and an extreme test of willpower by basically consuming little more than cabbage soup for an entire week. Although this diet is not a long-term weight solution, it encourages people to eat more vegetables that prevent cancer such as cabbage, broccoli, and cauliflower. Sound good to you? If the idea is to create an aversion for food to drive the people to starve themselves, then this diet serves its purpose. Cabbage is arguably the most boring food to eat so it must be extremely monotonous to eat cabbage soup for an entire week. However, there is an interesting psychological game going on here. Eating one of the most boring foods on the planet for a week sure would help one reassess their relationship with food. We all have a tendency to overeat on occasion when food tastes really good so maybe if we could train ourselves to treat all foods like cabbage soup we would only eat until the point of being full. Yet this is probably just reaching as this diet is a little short of torture and many would prefer to starve, but if you’re a big fan of cabbage and broccoli, this is the diet for you.
