Guess the Best Anti-aging Vitamin

Some time ago I decided that I should begin taking food supplements. I had arrived at the age when most people began to try to take better care of bodies which were growing older. I began to study food supplements in search of the best anti-aging vitamin, and I chose Vitamin K. Here are my reasons for choosing Vitamin K as the best anti-aging vitamin for myself.

I knew that Vitamins A, B6, B12, C, D, and E were already well supplied to me in my regular diet, plus the simple multi-vitamin supplement that we used every day anyway. But the amounts of Vitamin K contained in the supplement seemed very, very small, so I began to read about Vitamin K.
First of all, Vitamin K is commonly referred to as the “coagulator” because for years it has been assumed that Vitamin K was the best anti-aging vitamin for elderly people with blood problems or who suffered from some form of anemia. Indeed the “K” in Vitamin K comes from the German word for coagulation

Next I learned that Vitamin K is the best anti-aging vitamin for people with inflammatory illnesses, including illnesses of the joints and cartilage formations within the body. I was surprised to learn that Vitamin K also aids in the formation of bone and plays a major role in the general maintenance of bone structure. As such, Vitamin K is important in prevention of osteoporosis in older people as well as playing a major role in cell proliferation and in maintaining health in developing and aging nervous systems

It was puzzling to me that a Vitamin with so many different and important roles to play was not a major component in the best anti-aging vitamin supplements. The reason for this was also surprising as I learned that deficiency in this seeming best anti-aging vitamin supplement was relatively rare in otherwise healthy adults. In addition being consumed with leafy vegetables as well as many green vegetables which are part of most normal healthy diets, Vitamin K is produced by bacteria which live normally in the large intestine. Additionally, Vitamin K is a fat soluble vitamin and the normal vitamin cycle preserves its presence in the body

Of all the greatest health dangers facing an aging population the greatest seems to be the potential for
loss of mobility. Once mobility is lost much of the general quality of life is lost as well. Osteoporotic fractures can cripple an elderly person making him or her bedridden for life. Accordingly, I believe that the best anti-aging vitamin is the one that makes the greatest impact on bone development and provides the greatest role of defense against Osteoporosis of all the major vitamins. In addition, very small amounts are really necessary to augment the normal sourcing of Vitamin K through regular diet. Thus Vitamin K provides more with less and gets my vote as the best anti-aging vitamin.
